What did you learn from your reading? Summarize the big ideas here.

1.CONNECTED LEADERSHIP: Using technology to engage families in a variety of innovative ways.

2. CONNECTED LEARNING: Instead of banning handheld games teach students how to use them at an appropriate time in school. Leaders should also find ways to build dialogue instead of monologue among all stake holders.

3.JOINING TWITTER: Enables one to meet others with similar interest, share ideas and resources to meet the needs of all students. Twitter offers daily professional development in the privacy of your own home.

4.FLIPPED FACULTY MEETING :Keep faculty meetings short and to the point.

How did you feel about what you read? Talk about how you think you can use what you learned.

Very informative. I will definitely take connected learning and connected leadership into consideration. I strongly believe that children have to play but at the appropriate time.

What questions are you left with? Think about practical considerations for implementing changes.

It can be very difficult to engage families through technology because some of the parents do not have the basic computer skills.
